Rivalta

Rivalta is a wine made in tribute to Pedro Pavone-Voglino, father of Don Félix Pavone, founder of Santa Ema.

Known for his pioneering instinct and abundant determination, Pedro Pavone Voglino left his home in Rivalta, Italy, sailing to the new world in 1917. When he arrived in Chile he settled in Isla de Maipo, falling in love with the landscape and the extraordinary characteristics ideal for viticulture.

In 1931 he acquired his first property that would later become Viña Santa Ema. Pedro Pavone loved cars, and he was an excellent race car driver. At 28 he drove over the Andes to Argentina, and was a member of the first Harley Davidson team in Chile.

Rivalta is a limited production wine. This blend is made every year with just 20 of the best barrels of the red wine in the winery.
